Discipleship, fish and 12 baskets of leftovers

'This boy has 5 loaves and 2 fish,'  the unnamed disciple tells Jesus even as he is looking over the 5000+ hungry people gathered on the hillside.  You can do the math.  Anyone can do the math. But of course this isn't a story about math, it's a story about blessing.

Jesus blessed the bread, broke it and gave it to the gathered crowd and all were fed with 12 baskets of leftovers.  This is a story about abundance in the hands of God.

In our hands we have the equivalent of 5 loaves and 2 fish.  doesn't look like much when compared to the need of the world.  Definitely looks like we could take it all ourselves with no one the wiser.
Jesus say, 'Bring it here.  Offer it to God.  Let's see what God has in mind.'

In this the moment God is calling you to offer to God's work your 5 loaves and 2 fish?  That little boy had to offer up his supper in order for the thousands to be fed.

Who are you going to feed today?
