Needed: those who care

No one recruits for the indifferent.  We really don't need an increase in the number of people who are indifferent to their neighbors, who don't care if they are hungry or homeless.  They don't care if they are unemployed or unemployable.  They don't care if their disabilities make it impossible for them to see a movie, play on a playground, go out to dinner, take a stroll along the Onondaga Lake parkway.

No one recruits for the indifferent.  We have enough of those.  God seeks those who hold this creation and its inhabitants dear, important and worth our time and skill.  God seeks those who will, step by step, grow to love this world as God loves this world and to seek a great healing of all.  God seeks those who, having received God's good gift of life and love, naturally share it with others.

God needs some stewards.  Are you one?
